Our Team
The Harrison Circuit Court CASA Program was started in 2005. Since that time hundreds of children have been served by dozens of volunteers. Currently we have 18 volunteers who advocate for over 70 children with open CHINS (Child in Need of Services) cases.
Volunteers stay with each case until it is closed and the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. For many abused children their CASA volunteer may be the one constant adult presence in their lives.
According to the National CASA Association children from birth through age four were most likely to be maltreated and neglected compared to all other age groups.
Indiana CASA volunteers provide a voice for children in abuse/neglect cases and in termination cases.
