Community Awareness of Drug Abuse

On October 1, 2015 the Harrison County Prevent Child Abuse Council hosted a community event to educate the public on how drug abuse is affecting individuals and families in Harrison County. Guest speakers included Otto Schalk, Harrison County Prosecutor, James Snook, DCS Director and three community members who shared their life of drug addiction and recovery. Eight CASAs attended along with one of our Advisory Board Members. There were several organizations within the community who also provided information on available public resources for Harrison County residents. DRUG EDUCATION MATTERS!
